Cookie Policy
Last Updated: March 12, 2026
This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy and explains how Nelo Italia S.r.l. uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It describes what cookies are, which types we use, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. For broader information on how we process personal data under GDPR, please see our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They help a site remember your actions and preferences over a period of time. We also use closely related technologies such as pixel tags (transparent image snippets that record a visit) and server-side identifiers generated when your browser connects to our servers. Throughout this policy, we refer to all of these collectively as “cookies”.
Types of cookies
By lifespan: Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. By origin: First‑party cookies are set by this website; third‑party cookies are set by our service providers to deliver analytics and advertising functions that we request.
Categories we use
We group cookies into three categories. Only Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the site to work. Analytics and Marketing cookies require your consent in the European Economic Area, including Italy.
- Essential: Required for security, network management, and to remember your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off via our preferences panel.
- Analytics (consent): Measure traffic and usage patterns, for example via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation. We use aggregated reports to improve content, navigation, and course information structure.
- Marketing (consent): Support advertising and remarketing, including conversion attribution for Google Ads and Meta technologies, and the creation of audience segments. These help us understand which campaigns lead to course enquiries, without guaranteeing any outcome.

How we obtain consent in Italy (GDPR)
Users in the EEA, including Italy, see a consent banner when first visiting the site. Analytics and Marketing cookies activate only after you choose “Accept All” or enable them in “Manage Preferences”. Your decision is stored in the cookie_consent cookie for 12 months and can be changed anytime through the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
Managing cookies
You can update preferences using our on‑site panel at any time by selecting “Manage cookie preferences” in the footer. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. For guidance, see your browser’s help pages. Some industry tools also provide controls for ads personalisation (for example, Google Ads Settings, Facebook ad preferences, or YourOnlineChoices). If you block Essential cookies, the site may not function correctly.
Third‑party providers
We work with service partners to deliver analytics, advertising, and security. Typical partners include Google LLC (Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads), Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel and related services), and Cloudflare (security and content delivery). We configure these services to respect your choices. We do not permit providers to use our site data for their own independent commercial purposes.
Data retention and international transfers
Analytics identifiers are generally retained for up to 14 months at the reporting layer, while cookies themselves follow the lifetimes shown in the table. Marketing identifiers typically last 90 days unless you delete them sooner. Where partners transfer data outside the EEA (for example, to the United States), safeguards such as the EU‑US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses may apply as described in our Privacy Policy.
Updates to this policy
We may revise this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced on this page and, when appropriate, via a site notice. Please review this page periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
